Following the premiere edition in July, the second IFA Newsletter brings together the latest updates from international fistball – from upcoming competitions and youth development to new cooperation projects and media initiatives.
The IFA 2027 Fistball Men’s and Women’s Masters World Cup will take place in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil, from 21 to 24 October 2027. The official invitation will be published in September and will include all key information on registration, accommodation, transportation and the event schedule. Team registration will remain open until 31 December 2026.
The European Fistball Association (EFA) and the International Fistball Association (IFA) have also strengthened their cooperation by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. The partnership will focus on jointly developing funded projects in areas such as youth development, coach education and “Sport for Development”.
There are also new faces in the IFA Youth Commission. Lia Monteiro from Brazil and Reuben McKeown from New Zealand have been confirmed as Athlete Representatives for the next two years. Both will represent the interests of young athletes and will also have the opportunity to develop their own international youth projects with support from the IFA.
The IFA Fistball World Tour 2026 reached its conclusion in August with six tournaments in Switzerland, Austria and Brazil. The final events also played an important role in the race for qualification for the World Tour Finals 2027, which will be held in Europe next July.
Another update is the return of fistball.TV. Together with Asport, IFA relaunched the platform this summer with live streaming, on-demand matches and new clipping tools for athletes and fans. More highlight matches from past events will also be added in the coming weeks.
