IFA Masters World Cup 2027 in Brazil: Registration Opens for Club Teams

published: October 16, 2026

The International Fistball Association (IFA) has published the first official bulletin for the IFA Masters World Cup 2027, officially opening registration for Masters club teams from around the world. From 21 to 24 October 2027, teams will compete for the Masters titles in seven age categories in Novo Hamburgo, Brazil. The registration deadline is 15 January 2027.

After a nine-year break, the IFA Masters World Cup will make its long-awaited return next year. The tournament will take place at the facilities of Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul, just a few days after the Men’s Fistball World Championship at the same venue.

The Masters World Cup was last held in 2018 in Vöcklabruck, Austria, attracting around 50 teams from across the globe. With the event’s return, the IFA aims to build on this international participation. Alongside the sporting competition, the focus will be on bringing people together and strengthening connections within the global fistball community.

Registration Open Until 15 January 2027

The Masters World Cup is open to club teams from all IFA member nations. A total of seven competition categories are planned – five for men and two for women:

  • Men 35+: Born in 1992 or earlier
  • Men 45+: Born in 1982 or earlier
  • Men 55+: Born in 1972 or earlier
  • Men 60+: Born in 1967 or earlier
  • Men 65+: Born in 1962 or earlier
  • Women 30+: Born in 1997 or earlier
  • Women 40+: Born in 1987 or earlier

Each age category will be held provided that at least five teams register. Teams may register up to ten players and three team officials. Players are not required to be members of the club entering the competition. However, each player may only participate for one team and in one age category during the event.

Interested club teams can now register for the Masters World Cup via the official IFA registration portal. The registration deadline is 15 January 2027. The initial registration process involves entering the team. Once the registration deadline has passed, team representatives will receive access to the IFA event platform at fistball.org, where they can submit their player rosters and complete the remaining team information. The participation fee is EUR 15 per person.

A Unique Fistball Experience Alongside the Men’s World Championship

One of the event’s main attractions is its close connection to the Men’s Fistball World Championship, which will also take place in Novo Hamburgo from 12 to 17 October 2027. This gives Masters teams the opportunity to watch the world’s best national teams compete before taking to the courts themselves just a few days later at Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo.

The official Masters programme is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, 20 October, with training sessions and an official event welcome. Four days of competition will follow from Thursday to Sunday, before the tournament concludes on 24 October with the award ceremonies and a joint evening celebration.

Travel and Accommodation Information

Participating teams can choose from a range of hotel options in Novo Hamburgo and the neighbouring city of São Leopoldo. The Local Organising Committee will provide transportation between the official team hotels and the competition venue on training and match days.

The recommended arrival airport is Porto Alegre International Airport. Teams are responsible for covering their own travel, accommodation and catering expenses. Socaltur has been appointed as the official travel partner to assist teams with hotel bookings and travel arrangements.

“It is fantastic to see the Masters World Cup return,” says IFA President Gastão Englert. “Masters competitions have always had a very special atmosphere – competitive on the court, but at the same time shaped by a strong sense of community and a shared passion for our sport. This is exactly the spirit we want to strengthen and establish for the long term.”

IFA Masters World Cup 2027 in Brasilien: Registrierung für Senioren-Mannschaften gestartet
