More than 50 years after hosting a historic Fistball World Championship, Novo Hamburgo will once again welcome the world’s best national teams.
From 12 to 17 October 2027, up to 16 nations from around the globe will compete for the biggest title in international fistball at Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo.

Novo Hamburgo holds a special place in the history of international fistball.
In 1976, the Brazilian city hosted the first Men’s Fistball World Championship ever held outside Europe. Only six nations competed for the title at the time.
51 years later, the World Championship is coming back.
In 2027, up to 16 national teams from across the continents will travel to Rio Grande do Sul and write the next chapter of fistball history.
The return also comes in a very special year: Novo Hamburgo celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2027.

The World Championship will take place at Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo, one of Brazil’s most traditional fistball venues on two match courts.

IFA Masters World Cup 2027
The World Championship will not be the end of international fistball action in Novo Hamburgo. Just a few days after the new Men’s World Champion is crowned, players and teams from around the world will return to the courts at Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo. From 21 to 24 October 2027, the city will host the IFA Men’s and Women’s Masters World Cup, combining international competition with friendship, community and a shared passion for fistball.
The Masters are back!

After a nine-year break, the IFA Men’s and Women’s Masters World Cup returns to the international fistball calendar – and there could hardly be a better setting for its comeback.
Just four days after the Men’s World Championship Final, club teams from around the world will take over the courts at Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo.
Players can experience the World Championship, meet the international fistball community – and then compete for a title themselves.
