IFA Board of Directors Meeting – 24 January 2026

The IFA Board of Directors held its 13th meeting today under the chairmanship of President Gastao Englert. The Board confirmed new representatives for Oceania and Africa, further strengthening global representation within the IFA.

The board approved Emlyn Evans (AUS) and Sylvia Schulz (NAM) as new representatives of Oceania and Africa for the IFA Board of Directors including voting rights.

Key decisions included the approval of IFA budgets and the confirmation of Sociedade Ginástica Novo Hamburgo (Brazil) as host of the IFA Men’s World Championship 2027, with the final scheduled for 16–17 October 2027.

The Board also approved changes to IFA commissions and received reports on women’s world championship planning, regional association activities, and anti-doping measures, with all tests showing negative results.

In addition, the Board discussed a proposed amendment to the International Fistball Competition Rules (IFCR), agreeing to establish a working group to prepare a recommendation.
