The IFA 2026 Fistball World Tour has been decided: Sogipa Porto Alegre of Brazil in the women’s competition and TV Wohnplan Enns of Austria in the men’s competition finish the international tournament series at the top of the rankings. The final World Tour tournament of the season in Curitiba brought some last-minute changes to the standings. At the same time, the top four teams in each competition secured direct qualification for the IFA 2027 World Tour Finals.
After 22 tournaments in six countries, the 2026 IFA Fistball World Tour has come to an end. From mid-March until the end of August, international club teams collected points for the World Tour ranking at tournaments in South America, Europe and Asia. Six events were held in the highest IFA 1,000 category.
Sogipa Jumps to the Top
The women’s competition remained particularly exciting right up to the final tournament at Clube Mercês in Curitiba. Sogipa Porto Alegre made the most of its last opportunity, moving into first place in the overall standings with a third-place finish. With 4,040 points, the Brazilian team ends the season at the top of the ranking, repeating its World Tour success from 2024.
Just 40 points behind are Austrian national champions Union Compact Freistadt with 4,000 points. Third place goes to TSV Dennach of Germany with 3,400 points, followed by Austria’s DSG UKJ Froschberg with 2,970 points. Sogipa Porto Alegre, Union Compact Freistadt, TSV Dennach and DSG UKJ Froschberg have therefore already secured their places at the 2027 IFA World Tour Finals. Clube Duque de Caxias Curitiba also made a major move up the standings at the end of the season. By winning the final tournament and collecting the associated 600 points, the Brazilian team climbed to fifth place overall and finishes the World Tour with 2,360 points.
Enns Holds on to Top Spot in the Men’s Competition
The final tournament in Curitiba also had an impact on the final standings in the men’s competition. At the top, however, TV Wohnplan Enns could no longer be displaced. The Austrian national runners-up finish the 2026 World Tour in first place with 3,910 points. Sogipa Porto Alegre follows in second place. The Brazilians finished runners-up at the Mercês tournament and consequently moved up to second in the overall standings as well. With 3,886 points, they finish just 24 points behind Enns. Sogipa was also the most active team of the entire season, competing in a total of ten World Tour tournaments during the year.
Third and fourth place also go to Austrian teams. UFG Sparkasse Grieskirchen/Pötting finishes third with 3,700 points, followed by Union Compact Freistadt in fourth place with 3,680 points. Both teams have therefore also secured direct qualification for the 2027 World Tour Finals. DSG UKJ Froschberg narrowly missed out on direct qualification. With 3,480 points, the Linz-based team finishes fifth, just 200 points behind fourth place. Sixth place goes to Brazil’s SG Novo Hamburgo, which ended the season on a high by winning the tournament in Curitiba and finishing with a total of 2,800 points.
Following the conclusion of the season, IFA President Gastão Englert thanked everyone involved: “The World Tour thrives on the clubs and organizers whose tremendous commitment makes international fistball tournaments at the highest level possible. We owe all of them a great deal of thanks for the excellent cooperation throughout this season.” On behalf of the IFA, the season was coordinated by Hanna Einsiedler, Head of the World Tour. “With tremendous commitment and expertise, she took responsibility for the administrative organization and coordination of the entire series,” Englert said. “Without this joint effort, staging the World Tour would not have been possible.”
IFA 2027 World Tour Finals in Europe
Attention now turns to the 2027 IFA World Tour Finals, which will be held in Europe from July 22 to 25, 2027. In addition to the top four teams in each competition from the 2026 World Tour, three continental champions – including the champions of Europe and the Americas – as well as one team from the host will complete the fields of participants.
The venue for the international club highlight in 2027 has not yet been confirmed. The IFA remains in discussions with potential organizers. “We have held several good and constructive discussions over the past few months, but we have not yet been able to finalize the venue for the 2027 World Tour Finals,” said Sönke Spille, IFA Head of Events. The event requires a sports facility with two suitable fistball courts as well as additional warm-up courts. Under certain conditions, the host may also have the opportunity to enter its own team in the World Tour Finals. “Interested clubs or organizers are therefore still very welcome to contact us directly,” Spille said. Sogipa und Enns gewinnen IFA Faustball World Tour 2026
Die IFA Faustball World Tour 2026 ist entschieden: Sogipa Porto Alegre aus Brasilien bei den Frauen und der TV Wohnplan Enns aus Österreich bei den Männern schließen die internationale Turnierserie an der Spitze des Rankings ab. Beim letzten World-Tour-Turnier der Saison in Curitiba kam es noch einmal zu Verschiebungen im Klassement. Die jeweils besten vier Teams sicherten sich gleichzeitig das direkte Ticket für die IFA World Tour Finals 2027.
Nach 22 Turnieren in sechs Ländern ist die IFA Faustball World Tour 2026 zu Ende gegangen. Von Mitte März bis Ende August sammelten die internationalen Vereinsteams bei Turnieren in Südamerika, Europa und Asien Punkte für das World-Tour-Ranking. Sechs Veranstaltungen wurden dabei in der höchsten Kategorie IFA 1.000 ausgetragen.
Sogipa springt noch auf Platz eins
Besonders spannend blieb die Entscheidung bei den Frauen bis zum letzten Turnier bei Clube Mercês in Curitiba. Sogipa Porto Alegre nutzte dort die letzte Gelegenheit und schob sich mit Rang drei noch an die Spitze der Gesamtwertung. Mit 4.040 Punkten beendet das brasilianische Team die Saison auf Platz eins und wiederholt damit seinen World-Tour-Erfolg aus dem Jahr 2024.
Nur 40 Punkte dahinter folgen die österreichischen Staatsmeisterinnen von Union Compact Freistadt mit 4.000 Punkten. Platz drei sicherte sich der TSV Dennach (Deutschland/3.400 Punkte), gefolgt von der DSG UKJ Froschberg aus Österreich (2.970). Damit haben Sogipa Porto Alegre, Union Compact Freistadt, TSV Dennach und DSG UKJ Froschberg ihre Startplätze für die IFA World Tour Finals 2027 bereits sicher.
Für einen großen Sprung im Klassement sorgte zum Abschluss auch Clube Duque de Caxias Curitiba. Mit dem Turniersieg beim Saisonfinale und den damit verbundenen 600 Punkten verbesserte sich das brasilianische Team noch auf Rang fünf der Gesamtwertung und beendet die World Tour mit 2.360 Punkten.
Enns behauptet Spitzenposition bei den Männern
Auch bei den Männern hatte das abschließende Turnier in Curitiba noch Auswirkungen auf die endgültige Reihenfolge. An der Spitze war der TV Wohnplan Enns allerdings nicht mehr zu verdrängen. Der österreichische Vizestaatsmeister beendet die World Tour 2026 mit 3.910 Punkten auf Platz eins. Dahinter folgt Sogipa Porto Alegre. Die Brasilianer erreichten beim Mercês-Turnier den zweiten Platz und verbesserten sich damit auch im Gesamtklassement auf Rang zwei. Mit 3.886 Punkten fehlen am Ende lediglich 24 Zähler auf Enns. Sogipa war dabei die aktivste Mannschaft der gesamten Saison und nahm im Laufe des Jahres an insgesamt zehn World-Tour-Turnieren teil.
Die Plätze drei und vier gehen ebenfalls nach Österreich. Die UFG Sparkasse Grieskirchen/Pötting belegt mit 3.700 Punkten Rang drei, Union Compact Freistadt folgt auf Position vier (3.680 Punkte). Beide Teams lösen damit ebenfalls das direkte Ticket für die World Tour Finals 2027.
Nur knapp an der direkten Qualifikation vorbei schrammte die DSG UKJ Froschberg. Mit 3.480 Punkten fehlen den Linzern auf Rang fünf lediglich 200 Punkte auf den vierten Platz. Rang sechs geht an die SG Novo Hamburgo aus Brasilien, die mit ihrem Turniersieg in Curitiba einen erfolgreichen Schlusspunkt unter die Saison setzte und auf insgesamt 2.800 Punkte kam.
IFA-Präsident Gastão Englert richtete nach Abschluss der Saison seinen Dank an alle Beteiligten: „Die World Tour lebt von den Vereinen und Organisatoren, die mit großem Engagement internationale Faustballturniere auf höchstem Niveau ermöglichen. Ihnen allen gilt unser großer Dank für die hervorragende Zusammenarbeit in dieser Saison.“ Seitens der IFA wurde die Saison von Hanna Einsiedler als Head der World Tour koordiniert. „Sie hat mit sehr viel Engagement und Know-how die administrative Organisation und Koordination der gesamten Serie übernommen“, so Englert: „Ohne diese gemeinsame Arbeit wäre eine Durchführung nicht möglich gewesen.“
World Tour Finals 2027 in Europa
Der Blick richtet sich nun bereits auf die IFA World Tour Finals 2027, die von 22. bis 25. Juli 2027 in Europa ausgetragen werden. Neben den jeweils vier bestplatzierten Mannschaften der World Tour 2026 werden drei Kontinentalmeister – darunter die Champions aus Europa und Amerika – sowie ein Team des Ausrichters die Teilnehmerfelder komplettieren.
Wo das internationale Club-Highlight 2027 stattfinden wird, steht derzeit allerdings noch nicht fest. Die IFA befindet sich weiterhin in Gesprächen mit möglichen Veranstaltern. „Wir haben in den vergangenen Monaten bereits einige gute und konstruktive Gespräche geführt, konnten den Austragungsort für die World Tour Finals 2027 bislang aber noch nicht finalisieren“, sagt Sönke Spille, IFA Head of Events. Benötigt wird für die Ausrichtung der Veranstaltung eine Sportanlage mit zwei geeigneten Faustball-Spielfeldern sowie Einspielfelder. Für einen Ausrichter kann unter bestimmten Voraussetzungen zudem die Möglichkeit bestehen, mit einem eigenen Team einen Startplatz bei den World Tour Finals zu erhalten.
