In exactly one month, the international fistball community will turn its attention to Chile: From October 29 to November 1, the IFA 2026 Club World Cup will take place at the grounds of Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue, located directly on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Six men’s and six women’s teams from Europe, South America and North America will compete for the Club World Cup titles. The schedule has now been finalized – and the high-class field of participants promises four days of fistball at the highest level.
The IFA Club World Cup 2026 is drawing closer with every passing day. One month before the first serve, final preparations for the international top event are underway in Llanquihue. The experienced Chilean host has already organized numerous major international fistball events in the past – now, for the first time, it will stage an international club competition of this scale.
“The event is getting closer and closer. Now there is only one month to go until we determine the best club team in the world for the first time in this new format,” says IFA Head of Events Sönke Spille. “The organizing team in Llanquihue is very well prepared. The basic structure is in place, and now it is all about the final details. Teams and fans can definitely look forward to a great event in an impressive setting right on the shores of Lake Llanquihue.”
Kickoff in a round-robin format
The schedule has now also been finalized. In both the men’s and women’s competitions, the preliminary round will be played in a round-robin format. This means that each of the six teams will face all five other participating teams once. At the end of the preliminary round, the top four teams will qualify for the semifinals. From there, the battle will be on for a place in the finals – and ultimately for the titles of men’s and women’s Club World Cup champions 2026.
In the men’s competition, Germany’s TSV Pfungstadt leads the European contingent. Just around a week ago, the German powerhouse won the Champions Cup and will therefore travel to Chile as Europe’s current top club team. South America will be represented by another team in excellent form: SG Novo Hamburgo from Brazil. The reigning South American champion underlined its strong season last weekend by winning the Brazilian Championship. The Brazilians have also finished on the podium at every one of the six editions of the IFA World Tour Finals held between 2018 and 2025. FBC LINZ AG Urfahr also brings plenty of international experience. The Austrian club won the European Champions Cup in 2025 and claimed bronze at this year’s edition. The men’s field is completed by C.C.A.A. Rosario from Argentina, runner-up at the 2025 South American Championship, South Jersey Fistball Club, the 2025 US champion, and host Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue.
The line-up in the women’s competition is no less impressive. Ahlhorner SV will travel to South America as the newly crowned European Champions Cup winner. Just around a week ago, the German team secured the title of Europe’s best club team on home soil. Reigning South American champion SOGIPA Porto Alegre will also be part of the field. A second top German team, TV Jahn Schneverdingen, will also make the trip to Chile. Schneverdingen won silver at the 2025 Champions Cup and returned to the podium this year with a bronze medal. At the World Tour Finals, the club has reached the final in each of the last three editions, most recently winning silver last year. The women’s field is completed by C.C.A.A. Rosario, runner-up at the 2025 South American Championship, South Jersey Fistball Club, the 2025 US champion, and host Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue.
Llanquihue ready for the international fistball elite
For Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue, the Club World Cup will be a premiere despite its extensive experience in hosting international events. World Championships, South American and Pan American Championships, as well as the U18 World Championships in 2024, have already taken place at the venue. “We are very much looking forward to welcoming the best club teams in the world to Llanquihue,” says Felipe Werner. “Preparations have been underway with great intensity for several months. Our goal is to offer the teams, fans and delegations an unforgettable experience – not only from a sporting perspective, but also in terms of organization and culture.”
IFA President Gastão Englert is also looking forward to the tournament: “Over the past few years, Llanquihue has impressively demonstrated that international fistball events can be organized there at the highest level. The combination of an extraordinary venue, a strong fistball tradition and a high-class field of participants promises to make this an outstanding event.”
Countdown läuft: Noch ein Monat bis zum IFA Club World Cup in Chile
In genau einem Monat richtet sich der Blick der internationalen Faustballszene nach Chile: Vom 29. Oktober bis 1. November wird auf der Anlage des Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue direkt am Llanquihue-See der IFA 2026 Club World Cup ausgetragen. Jeweils sechs Männer- und Frauenteams aus Europa, Südamerika und Nordamerika kämpfen um die Klub-Weltmeistertitel. Der Spielplan steht inzwischen fest – und das hochkarätige Teilnehmerfeld verspricht vier Tage Faustballsport auf höchstem Niveau.
Mit jedem Tag rückt der IFA Club World Cup 2026 näher. Einen Monat vor dem ersten Anschlag laufen in Llanquihue die letzten Vorbereitungen für das internationale Top-Event. Der erfahrene chilenische Ausrichter hat in der Vergangenheit bereits zahlreiche große Faustballveranstaltungen organisiert – nun steht erstmals ein internationaler Klub-Wettbewerb dieser Größenordnung auf dem Programm. „Das Event rückt immer näher. Nun ist es nur noch ein Monat, bis wir erstmals in diesem neuen Format das beste Vereinsteam der Welt ermitteln“, sagt IFA Head of Events Sönke Spille. „Das Organisationsteam in Llanquihue ist bestens vorbereitet. Das Grundgerüst steht, jetzt geht es noch um die Feinabstimmungen. Die Teams und Fans dürfen sich definitiv auf eine tolle Veranstaltung vor beeindruckender Kulisse direkt am See Llanquihue freuen.“
Auftakt im Round-Robin-Modus
Mittlerweile steht auch der Spielplan fest. Bei Männern und Frauen wird die Vorrunde jeweils im Round-Robin-System ausgetragen. Damit trifft jede der sechs Mannschaften zunächst einmal auf alle fünf Konkurrenten. Nach Abschluss der Vorrunde qualifizieren sich die besten vier Teams für die Semifinals. Dort geht es um den Einzug in die Endspiele und schließlich um die Frage, welche Vereine sich 2026 zu den Klub-Weltmeistern der Männer und Frauen krönen.
Bei den Männern führt der TSV Pfungstadt aus Deutschland das europäische Aufgebot an. Erst vor rund einer Woche gewann der deutsche Serienmeister den Champions Cup und reist damit als aktuell bestes Vereinsteam Europas nach Chile. Aus Südamerika wartet mit SG Novo Hamburgo aus Brasilien ebenfalls ein Team in Topform. Der amtierende Südamerika-Meister bestätigte seine starke Saison am vergangenen Wochenende mit dem Gewinn der brasilianischen Meisterschaft. Bei den sechs Ausstragungen der IFA World Tour Finals von 2018 bis 2025 standen die Brasilianer zudem immer auf dem Podest. Auch der FBC LINZ AG Urfahr bringt reichlich internationale Erfahrung mit. Die Österreicher gewannen den europäischen Champions Cup 2025 und holten bei der diesjährigen Austragung die Bronzemedaille. Komplettiert wird das Männerfeld durch C.C.A.A. Rosario aus Argentinien, den Vizemeister der Südamerikameisterschaft 2025, den South Jersey Fistball Club, US-Champion 2025, sowie Gastgeber Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue.
Nicht weniger prominent präsentiert sich das Starterfeld der Frauen. Mit dem Ahlhorner SV reist der frischgebackene europäische Champions-Cup-Sieger nach Südamerika. Erst vor rund einer Woche sicherten sich die Deutschen auf heimischer Anlage den Titel als bestes europäisches Vereinsteam. Mit SOGIPA Porto Alegre ist auch der amtierende Südamerika-Meister vertreten. Dazu kommt mit dem TV Jahn Schneverdingen ein zweites deutsches Topteam. Schneverdingen gewann beim Champions Cup 2025 die Silbermedaille und stand auch in diesem Jahr als Bronzemedaillengewinner auf dem Podest. Bei den World Tour Finals erreichte man zuletzt dreimal in Folge das Endspiel, gewann im vergangenen Jahr Silber. Auch bei den Frauen komplettieren C.C.A.A. Rosario als südamerikanischer Vizemeister 2025, der South Jersey Fistball Club als US-Champion 2025 und Gastgeber Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue das Sechserfeld.
Llanquihue bereit für die internationale Faustball-Elite
Für den Club Gimnástico Alemán Llanquihue ist die Klub-Weltmeisterschaft trotz großer Erfahrung mit internationalen Veranstaltungen eine Premiere. Weltmeisterschaften, Südamerika- und Panamerika-Meisterschaften sowie zuletzt die U18-Weltmeisterschaften 2024 fanden bereits auf der Anlage statt. „Wir freuen uns sehr darauf, die besten Vereinsteams der Welt in Llanquihue willkommen zu heißen“, sagt Felipe Werner. „Die Vorbereitungen laufen bereits seit Monaten mit großer Intensität. Unser Ziel ist es, den Teams, Fans und Delegationen nicht nur sportlich, sondern auch organisatorisch und kulturell ein unvergessliches Erlebnis zu bieten.“
Auch IFA-Präsident Gastão Englert blickt dem Turnier mit Vorfreude entgegen: „Llanquihue hat in den vergangenen Jahren eindrucksvoll bewiesen, dass dort internationale Faustballveranstaltungen auf höchstem Niveau organisiert werden können. Die Kombination aus einer außergewöhnlichen Anlage, großer Faustballtradition und einem hochklassigen Teilnehmerfeld verspricht ein herausragendes Event.“
